1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how the apps (operated by Whole Software / Evtim Trenkov) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Whole software mobile applications (“the Apps”).
2. Information We Collect
Translation Content: When you submit text, images, or audio recordings to Glossia for translation, the content is transmitted to our AI provider (OpenAI) for processing. We do not permanently store this
content on external servers.
Camera and Microphone: With your explicit permission, Glossia accesses your device camera (for photographing text) and microphone (for voice translation and accent detection). Captured content is processed
for translation only.
Usage Data: We may collect anonymous usage data via Firebase Analytics to improve the App. This does not include personally identifiable information.
Subscription Data: Subscription status is managed by Apple App Store, Google Play, and RevenueCat. We do not have access to your payment details.
3. How We Use Your Information
– To provide AI-powered translations and language analysis
– To enable camera, voice, and image-based input
– To maintain your local glossary and flash card progress
– To deliver relevant advertisements via Google AdMob
– To improve the App experience
4. Data Storage
Your glossary entries, flash card progress, history, and preferences are stored locally on your device. Translation content is transmitted to our AI provider solely for processing and is not retained by us
afterwards.
5. Third-Party Services
Glossia uses:
– OpenAI API — for translation and language analysis
– RevenueCat — for subscription management
– Google AdMob — for rewarded video advertisements
– Firebase Analytics — for anonymous usage tracking
– Apple App Tracking Transparency — permission requested before any tracking
6. Children’s Privacy
Glossia is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
– Access the personal data stored on your device
– Delete your data by uninstalling the App or clearing App data
– Opt out of tracking via your device settings
– Cancel your subscription at any time through Apple ID or Google Play settings
8. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your data. All communications with our AI provider are encrypted using industry-standard HTTPS/TLS protocols.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected with an updated “Last updated” date.
